Internship Description
Students will gain practical experience and knowledge in the many aspects of pastoral ministry and the missionary lifestyle.
Students will be involved in intentional street evangelism with the aid of a translator, home visits, special events, and sports events.
Additionally, students will be involved in discipleship/pastoral ministry, in the edification of local believers with the aid of a translator.
Students will also lead weekly Bible studies with new believers.
Hope Church has started many projects that the students will get to be a part of, including but not limited to, 9000 Souls (reaching the roughly 9,000 residents in this region for Jesus), Your Kingdom Come (intercessory prayer ministry), After School Program (children’s ministry to help in education), Buildings for Building the Kingdom (construction and manual labor ministry), and New Testament Project (providing a copy of the New Testament to each household in the area).
Lastly, students will learn to coordinate with other local ministries and church services, and partake in various office/administrative work to learn ministry logistics. Students will aid in church planting efforts in the region, and will see first-hand how to help get a ministry started.
The three main topics covered throughout the internship are the following three C’s: calling, character, and competence.

Pre-Internship Assignment
Before departing for Romania to begin the internship, students are strongly encouraged to perform research into credible authors who discuss adjusting a message based on who is being spoken to, or in other words, how to adjust a message in such a way to not change the message, but effectively change the presentation of that message based on who it is being shared with. Paul does this several times as written in the Bible. Find authors who discuss this concept.
Students should also be ready to show three examples of portraying a message with three different people groups – that being Roma, Romanian, and Muslim.
